Hi there, 🙋🏼‍♂️

I’m a digital marketing specialist who pivoted to freelancing during the constraints of COVID-19, so I could utilize my skills in social media advertising, web design, and content marketing to contribute to the growth of my clients’ companies. I hope to bring the same skillset to your team.

My story

I hold a bachelor’s of Global Business & Digital Arts from the University of Waterloo (2016 – 2020). After graduating into a COVID-19 lockdown, I decided to start a freelance business using the Acadium apprenticeship platform. I invested 3 months working on web design and social media advertising projects with two companies that would later become my first freelance clients. I utilized my skills in web design and development while also growing their businesses by advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and Google. After sharing my positive experience on Acadium’s Podcast, they hired me to experiment with Snapchat, Facebook, and Quora ads. My role was then expanded to championing their content strategy by producing and optimizing blog content for SEO and managing their social media
channels.

Technically, I have extensive experience with the Adobe Creative Suite. I can create wireframes, high fidelity mock-ups, and implement them on WordPress. I also have experience with business development, email marketing, managing social media and content calendars, optimizing blog content for SEO, demand generation, and implementing multifaceted marketing strategies. I am passionate about executing large marketing projects from conception to completion.

I grew up in an entrepreneurial, go-getter home, watching my parents run a leading Canadian equestrian distribution business. My first job was delivering papers at 12. When I was 14, I got a job in a trial by fire environment at an Italian restaurant. I learned how to receive harsh feedback and make a mean crème brûlée. My summers were spent at Forest Cliff Camp, where I took on increasing responsibility throughout my time there as a Counsellor, Food Services Manager, 1-on-1 Support staff, and Co-Leader of the Service and Leadership Training Program. During my first two years of university, I ran my own College Pro Painting Franchise. I did this with no prior experience and never having picked up a paintbrush. I received the 2017 Rookie of the Year award and a Business Excellence Award for running a business over twice the size of the average first-year franchisee with high customer satisfaction rates.
